Adopt-a-Family Event

Volunteer Hayward is looking for volunteers to help with our 17th annual Adopt-a-Family Program. The event will include the items listed below.

Arts & Crafts

Volunteers will help the children of our families with a few arts & crafts projects. Each child will be able to make a holiday photo frame that they will later use to hold their family photos with Santa.

Registration

At this station volunteers will help check in each of the families and help pair them with a celebrity elf who will lead each family through our fun rooms.

Toy Room

In this room volunteers will give each child an empty gift bag. The child can then fill their bag with any toy that is in the room. They can also carry out one large toy that doesn’t fit in their bag

Miss Donna’s Room

This room is filled with gifts for our parents. Volunteers will help the children pick a gift and place it into a sealed holiday bag. The children can then give the gift to their parent on Christmas morning.

Coat Room

This room will be filled with brand new fleece sweatshirts, which each family member will be able to choose from. There will also be slightly used coats from our coat drive. Volunteers will help the parents with selecting the coats.

Loading Cars

Once the families are done with all of the rooms they are then given the gifts that their donors have purchased for them to be opened on Christmas morning. We need volunteers to help carry out the gifts and load their cars.
